This is our final week with our current group of interns. They have been faithfully blogging about their experience over at our NHOP Interns Blog.
Below is an excerpt from Intern Gina’s experience during Remembrance Week…
Every once in a while, a song will capture my heart, in this season the song that stirs my spirit is the National anthem. Everytime I hear it, I’m reminded of all those who sacrifice their lives for my freedom.
A few week ago we had military week. It was amazing! Our guests were either from the military, military famillies or people that have a heart to pray for them. All a sudden it was not about a man or a women on tv or in a newspaper. They were real, sharing their hearts, their lives and their struggles but most of all their passion for the calling.
It made me realize how easy it is to take them for granted, I often took my freedom for granted. It was a real shift for me. God gave me his heart for the soldiers and I decided to not only pray for them but to also bless them.
