CampFire at Calypso

We’ve had an incredible week with our campers.  Yesterday was our day focused on Government.  They listened to M.P. Royal Galipeau share about his journey into politics in the morning, then prayed in the official Sean O’Sullivan Chapel with former intern Becky Docksteader (now a staffer) and then had a two hour personal tour from Mr. Galipeau again.  In the evening our director- Rob Parker spoke about why and how we “pray for those in authority.”

Today was a fun day.  Along with thousands of others, we headed to Canada’s largest waterpark – The Calypso, which is brand new and only 45 minutes from downtown Ottawa.  Long lines couldn’t dampen the fun we all had as we slipped and slid down the many water slides.

Tonight was our farewell session back at NHOP.  Starting with a pizza party and finishing with commissioning prayers it was a powerful and sacred night.

Thanks for praying with us for these special high school kids this week.
