by Richard Long,
Our NHOP is just one of many Houses of Prayer and other Prayer Movements in Canada who are working together to pray during the G8 and G20 summits this weekend.
A new blogsite has been created for those who want to keep in touch with each other during the weekend. I highly recommend you add it to your “favourites” so you can check it regularly over the next few days.
Here’s the most recent entry on the Luke 18 Weekend blog…
The Luke 18 weekend is 72 non-stop hours of prayer and worship hosted by Houses of Prayer from all over Canada for God to establish justice during the G8 & G20 Summits being held in Canada June 25-27, 2010.
We believe that Canada has a calling to release God’s healing to the nations and that this global event is a God- orchestrated opportunity for this anointing to change the direction of nations. The agenda for the G8 is primarily focused on “maternal health issues” in developing countries. This is very much in the spirit of the biblical imperative to care for the widows and orphans. As Christians in Canada we have both the responsibility and opportunity to rise to the challenge before us, and through night and day prayer- see justice come speedily!
And will not God bring justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. Luke 18: 7 & 8
Will not the Judge of all the earth do right? Gen 18:25
And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. Rev 22:2
We want to invite you to join us in prayer for the upcoming G8 & 20 Summits. We also want to invite all the Houses of Prayer in the nation (and beyond) to rally for The Luke 18 Weekend. Imagine the united sound of unceasing prayer rising from Canada that God would so influence the “kings of the earth” to establish justice for the poor all through the nations.
