Politics Under God

Politics Under God is the title of a book by written by John H. Redekop.  Dr. Redekop, an adjunct professor of Trinity Western University, lectured at the Laurentian Leadership Centre last week here in Ottawa for two evenings of which I was fortunate enough to attend.  The topics were Responsible Government Under God, and Responsible Citizenship to Government Under God.  His credentials alone would fill up this entire blog space.  Suffice it to say, this incredible and learned man knows of what he speaks in matters regarding church and state and his little booklet Christians and Civil Disobedience has been distributed worldwide.    I so enjoyed his lectures and want to get started reading Politics Under God.  Here is what others have to say about it:

“This book is a must read for those who struggle to reconcile the tension between the demand of faith and government yet desire lives that are relevant and that engage our communities on the issues that really count.” – Ed Fast, Member of Parliament, Abbotsford

“John Redekop provides a timely and passionate primer on politics, citizenship, and the relationship beteween church and state from a Christian perspective…with practical and helpful insights into our Christian responsibility to bear a constructive witness to governments.”  – Bruce Clemenger, President, Evangelical Fellowship of Canada

Sounds like a great book.  We have several copies here at the National House of Prayer and I look forward to reading it.
