Pray GTA

From time to time on this blog we will highlight the good work that other prayer movements are doing and tell you how you can get involved with them.

One of the better developed city-wide prayer networks in Canada is located in our largest metropolis – The Greater Toronto Area (GTA).  Below is their mandate as you will find it stated on their website.  Take a tour around the other stuff that they have available on their website, and sign up for their news updates.  They carry great resources.  We will feature some of those resources in upcoming days.   – Richard Long

PrayGTA aims to encourage unified intercession in the Greater Toronto Area for the purpose of seeing the glory of God resting on our region. This is done by facilitating the training, mobilization and coordination of intercessors in general as well as strategic level prayer, through the following tracks:

  • Strategic Intercession – the discovery and implementation of God’s redemptive purposes for a region or event. This form of prayer has the potential to significantly impact the spiritual climate of our city.
  • Equipping – the networking of ministries in the GTA with existing intercession training; the mobilization of intercessors according to their level of training as well as the facilitation of prayer training events.
  • Intercessory Worship – the release of the power and presence of God, through the intimacy of worship combined with a passion for intercession. PrayGTA aims to support and expand corporate intercessory worship across the GTA.
  • Prayer Walking  – a means by which every neighbourhood in the GTA can be effectively covered in prayer.
