Praying for Afghanistan – by intern Hollie

by Hollie (one of our current interns at the National House of Prayer)

I am sooooooo excited for what God is doing in Afghanistan; I can’t even explain it! I really believe this Nation will be a testimony of God’s miraculous redemptive work; His heart of reconciliation and love. I haven’t gotten a hold of some secret information or anything but I have been praying about it and I just led a prayer watch for the military tonight so my heart is stirred. I see a big heart around that Nation. The heart of God loves it and He is longing for its restoration.

Last spring I got to attend the Chinese Home Coming Gathering in Hong Kong (It was dealing with reconciling the Chinese to one another where there had been deep wounds and seeking God’s heart for the destiny of that people). Anyway, one of the scriptures that was for that gathering was Psalm 126.
As we were praying tonight I came across the passage and knew it was for Afghanistan.

“When the Lord brought back the captive ones of Zion, We were like those who dream. Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with joyful shouting; Then they said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.” The Lord has done great things for us; We are glad. Restore our captivity, O Lord, as the streams in the South. Those who sow in tears shall reap with joyful shouting. He who goes to and fro weeping, carrying his bag of seed, shall indeed come again with a shout of joy, bringing his sheaves with him.”
Hallelujah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(I want to go to Afghanistan)
