Many of us were very invested with our prayers and presence at the Forgiveness Summit this past weekend. Another piece in this ongoing process to bring healing to our First Peoples is the Truth & Reconciliation Commission. They begin their first four day conference in Winnipeg today.
Let us pray that this environment will provide an opportunity for many of the 85,000 living survivors of the Residential Schools to begin their journey of healing as they speak the truth of what they have experienced. May the Spirit of God hover over these sessions with His great grace.
